Aritzia Holiday Gift Guide

That's right kids this years partner in crime to have on your Christmas shopping is finally here at http://aritzia.com/style/lookbook/holiday-gift-guide-0!
With December fast approaching I'm already beginning to sort out my shopping lists and my must have items this season and Aritzia is definitely climbing its way to the top of my list!
Hope I've been a good girl this year, 'cause coal would only stain these adorable finds!

Here are my favorite highlights from the spread:

You can never have to many neutral knits!

I love the sophisticated, British vibe of the camel pea coat along with the plaid!

This is a great bohemian mix!

A hot black bag looks good all year 'round!

Introducing Blair

ON THIS FRIGID FRIDAY AFTERNOON, I WAS DREAMING ABOUT MY HOLIDAY TO ENGLAND THAT WILL BE COMING MY WAY NEXT MONTH. BEING INSPIRED BY THE SOPHISTICATED CULTURE OF THE BRITS, I WENT FOR A PREPPY SCHOOLGIRL LOOK.
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIEND, LAUREN HELPED STYLE THIS PERFECT ENSEMBLE WITH A DENIM MINIDRESS, A WHITE BUTTON DOWN, A BLUE FITTED BLAZER, RED KNEE-HIGHS, AND BROWN BUCKLE HEELS.
PERHAPS I'LL GET A CASTING CALL FOR SKINS WHILE I'M THERE. YOU NEVER KNOW WITH THOSE BRITS.

ALL CLOTHES//STYLISTS OWN.

Radio Fireworks

The weekend's fast approaching and I'm feeling a little frisky so for todays showcase I went for a more daring look pairing shiny high waisted short with bright red tights! This along with the fur collar, chained hat, and black heels made this outfit really loud so I softened it with a classic hat and a cream lace tee to give some dreamy like quality to add to the overall vibe!
Not only was this fun to shoot, but it was also fun to wear! I felt a little like Audrey Hepburn sporting this!

The Animals

Today's personal song the day just happened to be "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals which in turn, inspired me to get in touch with me inner animal side by adding a cheetah print knit and outdoor backgrounds. For a slouchy, comfortable look I paired the sweater with a basic loose white tank, black harem pants, vintage jewelry, a great hat, John Lennon glasses and pointed flats!

Style Star of the Day

Todays Style Star of the day with no doubt has to be Julia Angel!
Juli's outfit was pretty daring by mixing vintage steel toed combat boots and a fluffy lace white skirt together but, she pulled it off fabulously due the soft touches of green and purple paired with the leather sash belt!
Great Styling! Bravo!

Raising Awareness for Child Soldiers

Raising awareness for a great cause through fashion!
The T-shirt posted above (provided by Blair Stutz) features the uniform of the child soldiers which would be the pocket details, the gun slung around the chest, a necklace of  cross, and a teddy bear strapped at the back!
Not only does it look perfect for this seasons military theme, but it also helps a great cause!
Great buy Blair, I adore it!

Back in the Day

So as I made myself my usual morning coffee I grew bored of what was on MTV and flipped the channel down one to Family and what showed up on the screen was the blast from the past that inspired todays outfit!
The Mickey Mouse Club House! Come inside, it's fun inside!
It was a joyful morning which led to a joyful singing along to the songs and yelling out the answers for questions as if i were 5!
So here I paired a classic Donald Duck sweater over a Minnie Mouse inspired skirt! Then I tied it all together with classic 1 inch heels, white socks, and a retro hat!

School Style Star

Today's York Mills Style Star has to e Geoffrey Davidson!
I absolutely adore Davidson's boot cut dark jeans pair with a vintage inspired pair of mocks! By pairing them with the light blue hoodie, a grey scarf and a great peacoat this outfit overall had a great classic, cool vie to it.
And finally a guy at York Mills that can DRESS!

Cloudy Days Make Me Pray for May

The grass may still be green but I know long months await me before I see a flower or a blossom on a tree. With the trees so bare whats there keeping outside beautiful? Today, I brang spring back into the scene with a Floral print dress tucked over a flower lace raglan shirt with a cute pair of white socks and brown buckle sandals in hopes of inspiring mother nature to warm up the climate!

School Style Stars

So I've added a new feature to this blog which is basically going to be people I photograph on the street or in school called Style Stars.
The Style Stars of today has to be Helen Popov (top) and Blair Stutz (bottom) !
I'm loving Helen's classic trouser pants with a chic crop top giving her whole outfit a sophisticated vibe and as for Blair, she looks stunning in this vintage lack sweater pair with skinnies and combat boots!
Good job Ladies;)

Memoirs of Summer

After being down at the Bedouin Soundclash concert at The Sound Academy I can't help but think of the ocean front and one of my favorite summer memories. Over the summer as all my best friends finally came back from their family trips to Europe and re-united in Toronto, Ari, Julia, Helen, and myself headed down to Center Island for the day to enjoy the lake from the view of the bar and chain smoke Dunhills like there was no tomorrow.
Thinking back on it I can't help but miss the days of warmth and the beautiful view from the harbor front which inspired my outfit today,In spirit of summer i took my salior-like crop top and paired it over my favorite red dress for a fun nautical vibe and topped it off with simple socks, great heels, and the purse i wore on that very day!

Chance Chanel eau tendre

I know the new Chanel Chance scent first came premiered in March 2010 along with the original Chanel Chance and Chanel Chance eau fresh but, I'm still in love with it!
I recently got it out of my shoppers points and I can't help but wear it everyday! Though I usually find other Chanel perfumes to be loud and rather "Grandma-like", this scent was lighter, sweeter, and more floral then the rest while still having that classic musky undertone that Chanel perfumes are recognized for. Pricing 1.7oz for roughly 70 dollars, might wanna mention this to the folks for a nice stocking stuffer;)

xoxo,

Ps. While your at it, why not get all three? All express a different mood for a different feel everyday!

Morning After

After a wild night from attending the Bendouin Soundclash Concert and 4 hours of sleep max, Getting dressed up really was far from my agenda this morning! But because i haven't posted in over 24 hours I quickly put this together just for you guys!
Going through my closet as i got home this morning I actually found some pretty interesting things from my past to help make this basic conservative dress more fun such as cream diamond shaped fishnets and a cool old army boomer jacket i found with the tags on and everything! I also added some high knee socks for a splash of color, a canvas scarf to balance the jacket, and I put the cherry on top of the outfit by adding brown buckle heels.

Imprinted Lights

Instead of hitting the books today, my media arts class was sent on a field trip to the national film board! We watched an eye opening movie on the subject of remixes and if that is indeed plagiarism or a new form of art and how ideas have now become property. The film had some wonderful insights and talked also about the artist GIRL TALK and his mixes are made. For lunch we split off around the downtown area and went vintage shopping (Store pictured above) with my friends!
Knowing there would be much walking to do i came prepared with 1 inch heels and this seasons army green cargo pant! I added to this look with my Sebastien Tellier T-Shirt and my Rodarte inspired knit for some extra playfulness!
