MIA?

It's been awhile since I've posted but rest assured I'm back and hopefully uploading daily!
So today I decided to play with texture by mixing a velvet dress and headband with my Rodarte inspired knit sweater and knit socks along with playing also with patent leather accessories.

A Sinister Kid

Today's inspiration for my outfit was "Sinister kid" by The Black Keys. Why? Probably cause my favorite line has been replaying itself in my head for the past couple hours. "Thats me, Thats me,The boy with the broken halo, thats me, thats me, the devil won't let me be". Also the song had a great classic rock feel which help inspire the vintage vibe of today's look!
So here I paired my favorite vintage print shirt with acid wash shorts for a fun olden look. To complete this I paired my vintage brown belt, my highest heels, and my favorite fur backpack to tie it everything together!

On the Move

And so another day of flying around from appointment to appointment began and i went everywhere from doctors, to dentists, to chiropractors, to hair dressers, to malls, and more!In order to do all this though, I had to make sure I was dressed warm for the bone chilling -13 degree weather, comfortable for running to each appointment, and chic in order to avoid looking like an eye sore on the beautiful streets of Yorkville in Toronto.
I completed this challenge by throwing together a loose cashmere t-shirt with a roomy pair of harem pants to almost make it feel as if I were at home lounging on the couch with Ben&Jerry's chocolate ice cream. To keep it from feeling sloppy I added a velvet blazer, 1 inch heels, and warm socks to play with some color. But, the item that absolutely has saved my life throughout the duration of the day is my fur backpack! It's more comfortable to carry then a purse and can fir everything from my shopping bags, my camera, and all my daily essentials! I have no doubts that this soon will be the only bag I carry!

Beige Overload

This morning I put together this all beige outfit with a bit of an English, equestrian twist and though the 3 inch heels made me slip in slide in Canada's current icy temperatures, I stayed perfectly warm!
To liven up this solid look, I opted for a bright colorful mural in the music hallway at my high school.

That's right kids this years partner in crime to have on your Christmas shopping is finally here at http://aritzia.com/style/lookbook/holiday-gift-guide-0!
With December fast approaching I'm already beginning to sort out my shopping lists and my must have items this season and Aritzia is definitely climbing its way to the top of my list!
Hope I've been a good girl this year, 'cause coal would only stain these adorable finds!

Here are my favorite highlights from the spread:

You can never have to many neutral knits!

I love the sophisticated, British vibe of the camel pea coat along with the plaid!

This is a great bohemian mix!

A hot black bag looks good all year 'round!

Radio Fireworks

The weekend's fast approaching and I'm feeling a little frisky so for todays showcase I went for a more daring look pairing shiny high waisted short with bright red tights! This along with the fur collar, chained hat, and black heels made this outfit really loud so I softened it with a classic hat and a cream lace tee to give some dreamy like quality to add to the overall vibe!
Not only was this fun to shoot, but it was also fun to wear! I felt a little like Audrey Hepburn sporting this!

The Animals

Today's personal song the day just happened to be "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals which in turn, inspired me to get in touch with me inner animal side by adding a cheetah print knit and outdoor backgrounds. For a slouchy, comfortable look I paired the sweater with a basic loose white tank, black harem pants, vintage jewelry, a great hat, John Lennon glasses and pointed flats!

Style Star of the Day

Todays Style Star of the day with no doubt has to be Julia Angel!
Juli's outfit was pretty daring by mixing vintage steel toed combat boots and a fluffy lace white skirt together but, she pulled it off fabulously due the soft touches of green and purple paired with the leather sash belt!
Great Styling! Bravo!

Raising Awareness for Child Soldiers

Raising awareness for a great cause through fashion!
The T-shirt posted above (provided by Blair Stutz) features the uniform of the child soldiers which would be the pocket details, the gun slung around the chest, a necklace of  cross, and a teddy bear strapped at the back!
Not only does it look perfect for this seasons military theme, but it also helps a great cause!
Great buy Blair, I adore it!

Back in the Day

So as I made myself my usual morning coffee I grew bored of what was on MTV and flipped the channel down one to Family and what showed up on the screen was the blast from the past that inspired todays outfit!
The Mickey Mouse Club House! Come inside, it's fun inside!
It was a joyful morning which led to a joyful singing along to the songs and yelling out the answers for questions as if i were 5!
So here I paired a classic Donald Duck sweater over a Minnie Mouse inspired skirt! Then I tied it all together with classic 1 inch heels, white socks, and a retro hat!

School Style Star

Today's York Mills Style Star has to e Geoffrey Davidson!
I absolutely adore Davidson's boot cut dark jeans pair with a vintage inspired pair of mocks! By pairing them with the light blue hoodie, a grey scarf and a great peacoat this outfit overall had a great classic, cool vie to it.
And finally a guy at York Mills that can DRESS!
